Hi! I’m Carlos Mendoza — a Colombian guitarist, composer, and music educator. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Music (Guitar Performance) from Francisco José de Caldas University in Bogotá.
Since 2016, I’ve toured across North and Central America — performing in Ecuador, Mexico, the U.S., Canada, El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. I’ve had the chance to be part of various ensembles, playing everything from jazz and rock to Colombian music. These diverse experiences have shaped not only my playing but also my perspective as a teacher.
After graduating from university, I moved to Toronto, Canada, where I completed a post-graduate program in Music Business at Humber College. While there, I also worked as a Music Education Specialist at Merriam School of Music — one of Canada’s top private music academies, and at Alma Records, one of Toronto's most prominent jazz record labels, as their Label Coordinator.
Currently, I work as Content Operations Coordinator at Symphonic Distribution and I live in Colombia. Whether I’m on stage, in the studio, or guiding new artists behind the scenes, I’m passionate about telling stories through music and creating meaningful connections.
Let’s connect — whether you’re looking to collaborate, learn, or just talk music.
